The role
Materials import and planning role in Ghaziabad ensuring supply of components meets production schedules and safety stock levels. Covers purchase order management, supplier schedules, inventory targets and shortage resolution for 1600+ parts.
What you would do
- Schedule supply of materials for 1600+ parts to meet production and safety stock levels
- Manage day-to-day purchase orders and deliveries
- Take follow-up action on material shortages and raise expedite tickets
- Monitor inventory against target levels and maintain optimal safety stock
- Generate and communicate supplier delivery schedules and forecasts
- Evaluate supplier performance and escalate issues to Procurement
- Resolve invoicing discrepancies with suppliers and accounting
- Coordinate with production planners and ensure timely GRN processing
What they are looking for
- B.Tech/BE in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed university
- 4-6 years in material planning, imports, inventory management or purchasing
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, imports and supply chain management
- Experience with MRP and ERP systems
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Good verbal and written communication
- Travel as and when required
